The Law Enforcement Automated Data System (LEADS) serves as the criminal justice information network for Ohio's law enforcement community. It's a vital system, but there was room for improvement -- with documents being filed manually, incomplete submissions, and lost documents.

Biggest Change:
A website was created to collect the incoming data, scan the forms electronically, and track the location of all documents.

Additional Benefits: Auditors can view uploaded documents while on-site at an audit, and the form is still available for use by others as needed. On-site audits will make customers more aware of the need for greater accuracy when submitting forms
